Sr. Fundraising & Partnership Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Fundraising and Partnership Manager will work closely with the Chief Impact Officer and Assistant Director of Social Impact to own and execute an annual operating fundraising campaign of $1,500,000. This includes developing strategy and implementing research, relationship-building, solicitation, and stewardship for a growing individual, corporate and foundation donor program, along with a capital campaign for opening and sustaining the SoLa I CAN Foundation Technology and Entrepreneurship Center. The Sr. Fundraising and Partnership Manager will also work with a wider team that handles graphic design, community events, tenant relations and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

PROGRAM PLANNING & MANAGEMENT

  • Manage solicitation and stewardship by senior team, including research, briefing materials, and scheduling
  • Further develop existing data-management systems
  • Work with the senior team to develop annual fundraising goals and operational plans; participate in budgeting and cash flow reporting

DONOR CULTIVATION & STEWARDSHIP

  • Work with the senior team to build relationships with donors, ensuring personal attention and service
  • Spearhead portfolio growth, including working with leadership, board, and partners to funnel prospects into the solicitation pipeline
  • Produce appeals, updates, and other correspondence in alignment with organization messaging and brand guidelines; work with marketing on collateral; execute virtual and in-person donor events in coordination with programs team
  • Oversee recordkeeping and acknowledgment process

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience developing donor outreach programs including digital campaigns, personal solicitation, events, corporate giving, in-kind giving and partnerships and donor management systems
  • Experience directly soliciting six-figure gifts required
  • Experience with portfolios of donors in the 5-to-7-figure giving level is highly desired
  • Demonstrated success in project and event management
  • Experience working with donor databases or CRM; Salesforce background preferred
  • Experience with corporate partnerships and corporate social responsibility campaigns a plus
  • Aware of social issues and understands the needs of underserved communities 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel for formatting
  • Proficient in Google Suite: Google Drive and Google Docs 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; excellent follow through
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Ability to collaborate with others and utilize knowledge and resources to identify quality solutions
  • Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Highly organized, resourceful, proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and critical thinking skills required; willingness and ability to learn quickly and on-the-fly
